E-quipment bv considers privacy to be extremely important, which is why we handle your personal data with care and never ask for more data than we need to guarantee you optimal service.

Website visitors

We only collect data from you as a website visitor for analysis, anonymized, and for fraud prevention and detecting security issues.

On your first visit you were able to set the settings for all other cookies and trackers and refuse them.

We only place functional cookies, these are necessary for a properly functioning website and for offering our services such as the option to purchase our products.

When you contact us

When you send us an email, fill out our contact form or call us, we will process your personal data.

We do this to answer your question or to advise you about our products and services.

We process the following personal data for this purpose:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your telephone number, when you provide it or when you call us
  • Your question, request or complaint and our response to it

We store this information for as long as necessary to answer your question or request.

We then archive this information so that we can provide you with better service if you return to it later.

We never use this information for marketing purposes unless you have given us permission to do so. See our newsletter section for more details.

Sign up for our newsletter

You can subscribe to our newsletter via our website or when placing an order.

We only use your email address for our newsletter.

By subscribing to our newsletter, you give E-quipment bv permission to send you our newsletter with news and offers.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking on the link you will find in every email from us.

You will no longer receive newsletters from us after this.

You are our customer

We use your personal data to complete your order, deliver products to you or send you information about the services purchased.

We do this to meet our contractual obligations.

We use the following data for this:

  • Your name
  • Your company name if applicable
  • Your address details for sending products and for correct invoicing
  • Your email address for sending emails about the status of your order including your digital invoice
  • Your order history

We store your name, company name and address details and your order history for at least 7 years because we have a legal obligation to store this data for that period according to tax legislation.

We will retain your contact details for as long as necessary, but no longer than 1 year after your last order.

We do not use your information for marketing purposes unless you have given permission for this during the ordering process. See the section about our newsletter for more information.

Data processing outside the European Union

E-quipment uses Shopify, a Canadian company. Your data is therefore processed outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

However, Canada has been designated by the European Commission as a country where the same level of privacy protection applies as we know in Europe. Your personal data is therefore just as well protected in Canada as it is within the European Union.

All our other IT suppliers and our own systems are located within the European Economic Area.

Securing your data

We have made good agreements with all our processors about the security of our systems. All your traffic to our website is secured and encrypted and we use 2-factor authentication everywhere to access our customer data.

In addition, only persons authorized by E-quipment have access to our customer data.

Processors

We have concluded a processing agreement with all our processors. We hold them strictly to the agreements we have made with them and also for what they may use your personal data on our behalf.

Your rights

You have the following rights:

  • The right to ask whether we process your personal data and, if so, to receive a copy of it
  • The right to correct personal data we have about you
  • The right to have personal data we hold about you deleted, unless we are obliged to retain it or it is necessary for the performance of our contractual obligations
  • The right to withdraw your consent to receive marketing

We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but no later than within 30 days.

If you do not agree with the response to your request or the way in which we handle your personal data and we cannot resolve the matter together, you have the right to file a complaint with the privacy supervisor.
