Despite all the attention on the leakage of company and customer data, 32% of managers do not know whether confidential information was ever leaked. Eight percent did not even want to know. 1 out of 6 Dutch companies the data that was lost ended on the street. Only 2% of the workers admitted that they sometimes accidentally leaked important data. So there is a big difference between employees and employers. Managers in the Health Care Industry admit that out of most leaking events of confidential information, 26% know of incidents where staff was careless with information.
